 Only minor drawbacksJul 26, 2010
After reading the only 2 star review, I was concerned about the stability of this item, but I find it to be totally safe. I suppose it depends on the level of your disability and your general physical condition. I had surgery, so I will only need this for a number of weeks, and for that purpose it is a great help.
My one complaint is a little silly, but the plastic/rubber (whatever it is made of) has a strange smell.
I finde the padded arms to be a little closely spaced, but it is not the product's fault I'm overweight!

This unit was fine and is available for a LOT more at every medical supply place on earth, but it DOES NOT fit one-piece toilets with elongated seats.

it is very helpful for our needs.mobility problems are alleviated with the raised toilet seat and helps getting up from the toilet.

After hip surgery, the raised toilet seat is a must and works well for me. The handles are sturdy and the product stays in place with help of the large screw. Free shipping convinced me to buy through Amazon.
